Meet the Team
Anna Narvaes
My Experience/Education Includes: I grew up in the family business at Mountain Kids Fort Collins taking both gymnastics and dance. I went on to compete nationally through high school and then was recruited to attend Iowa State on a partial gymnastics and academic scholarship. Shortly thereafter, I moved home to complete my undergraduate degree at CSU and began coaching our Level 8,9 team and was the head gymnastics coach at Fort Collins High School for 4 years. Once I graduated, I moved to Breckenridge to snowboard which lead to a job with Ride Snowboards in Seattle, WA. Eventually, I ended up in graduate school at the University of Denver pursuing and completing a Master’s in Real Estate Finance and Construction Management. It didn’t take long for me to miss working with kids, and in 2004 Mountain Kids Louisville was born.
I love Mountain Kids/MCDA because: I absolutely LOVE coming to work, I love the people I get to work with each day and the families and students we serve on a daily basis. I love supporting and watching our faculty grow, our families blossom, and our students become happy, confident and strong!
My life philosophy is: Life is short and I want to squeeze the most out of every moment. I’ve learned that at any moment life can change on a dime, and I don’t want to leave this earth with regrets or saying “I wish…” This passion for life and taking responsibility for where you’ve been and where you’re going is something I hope I pass on to my family.
In my free time I like to: read, dance, snowboard, spend time with my family and enjoy great restaurants! I’m an avid reader so if you have a good book recommendation, please share!
My favorite place to go is: The beach! The power and beauty of the ocean is awe-inspiring! If I were an animal I would be a giraffe because: they are graceful and strong.
